My Supper Hero was brought to life by two close friends, Myleene Klass and Jamie Barber. Jamie, an award-winning restaurateur, is passionate about cooking and boasts an impressive repertoire of recipes. On the other hand, Myleene adores everything about food but loathes spending hours in the kitchen.
In 2021, they joined forces to create My Supper Hero with a clear mission: to provide people with everything they need to Eat Brilliantly At Home.
The idea for My Supper Hero was born in November 2020, after both Myleene and Jamie experienced extreme kitchen fatigue during nine months of lockdown. It wasn't just the cooking that wore them down, but also the constant need to plan meals, shop for ingredients, and tackle the peeling, chopping, cooking, and washing up.
They longed for evenings spent relaxing with their families, rather than slaving away in the kitchen or resorting to uninspiring takeaways. This sparked the thought, "There has to be a better way."
Both Myleene and Jamie had tried various recipe boxes in the past, but found the recipes to be basic, the preparation tedious and messy, and felt uncomfortable not knowing the origin of the ingredients. The excessive packaging, including excessive plastic, also bothered them.
As they discussed their shared frustrations, Myleene and Jamie knew they wanted to provide people with not only amazing food but also the time to truly enjoy it. Moreover, they wanted to do so in a way that positively impacted both communities and the planet.
And thus, My Supper Hero was born, a place where incredible food meets convenience, sustainability, and care for the environment. It's all about enjoying delicious meals without the hassle, empowering families to spend quality time together over fantastic food.
