Shara, a cancer survivor herself, has personally navigated the challenges of treatment, but Cancer Care Parcel's offerings aren't solely guided by her experiences. The organisation collaborates with recipients of their parcels, consults an advisory board consisting of cancer patients and survivors, ensuring a collective insight into the needs and preferences of those they serve.
Driven by the commitment to aid the cancer community, Cancer Care Parcel dedicates considerable effort to compile and source articles, sharing valuable insights into the cancer journey, including tips on effective communication, suitable gifts, and offering personal stories and research updates.
With a strong environmental conscience, the organisation has made mindful choices, utilising hosting services powered by renewable energy, partnering with a computer recycling not-for-profit, employing an eco-conscious fulfillment partner, using recyclable packaging, practicing print-on-demand to reduce waste, and planting trees for each product sold.
