About Our Company:
Founded in 2019 by seasoned startup entrepreneurs Lucas London and Sam Bradley, our home decor brand sets its sights on the $1 trillion global home decor market. Since its inception, the business has secured over $29 million in funding. In June 2021, OMERS Ventures led our Series A funding round, joined by existing investors Felix Capital, along with contributions from visionary entrepreneurs and private equity investors such as Magnus Rausing, Alex Chesterman, and Kathaka, the family office of Caroline Rupert of Richemont. Sustainability at Lick:
Reducing our environmental footprint is a core pillar of our mission, and we're determined to drive change in the home decor industry's environmental practices. Sustainability is not just an aspiration; it's at the forefront of everything we do.
We are actively working to diminish our impact on the planet, creating a brighter future for generations to come. Our efforts include the adoption of peel-and-stick samples (resulting in 95% less waste than traditional sample pots) and the use of low VOC water-based paints (containing fewer harmful chemicals and producing easily biodegradable end products). Our packaging is 100% biodegradable, with our biodegradable plastic bags being water-soluble. We incorporate sustainably farmed bamboo into all our supplies and are transitioning to recycled paper in our printed materials. Furthermore, we are relocating our paint tin production to the UK and continuing our partnerships with 4ocean and One Tree Planted (for every paint tin sold, we remove 18g of plastic from the ocean, and for every roll of wallpaper sold, we plant one tree).
